Celebrating Saint Patricks Day

Since St. Patrick's Day is this weekend (actually just 2 days before P's birthday), I'm very curious to know if there are any celebrations you participate in. Of course, drinking beer, listening to Irish music, watching Irish dancers or parades are the big celebrations which I know.

Here in Vancouver, we have quite a bit Irish community and a few great things happening. I know there are parades and Irish Ceili dances . The most notable time I had was celebrating with a friend while in San Francisco with an Irish Coffee to die for on a nice sunny day.

Here's what Wikipedia has to say about the holiday: Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated worldwide by Irish people and increasingly by many of non-Irish descent (usually in the US and Ireland), hence the phrase, "Everyone wants to be Irish on St. Patrick's Day." Celebrations are generally themed around all things green and Irish; both Christians and non-Christians celebrate the secular version of the holiday by wearing green, eating Irish food, imbibing Irish drink, and attending parades.

Hope everyone has fun celebrating!
