Recap of Weekends

The title is plural weekends because I've been tired and lazy and haven't posted anything lately.

Last weekend was our little triathlon called the Triathlon of Compassion. It's by far the flattest easiest triathlon in the circuit for the season. I did quite well, especially in the swim and run, but not so well on the bike. My posted time was 1 hour 13 mins and about 48 seconds. I came in 4 out of 24 for my age group and roughly 68th overall out of 161 entries, including all of those super hardcore athletes.

A few days before that I had run the July 1st 10K to help start prepare me for my up and coming Olympic distance triathlon. I've also been trying to fit in some swimming in the mix of all of my training too..

The tri gang pre-race for the 10k. There were 3 of us in the middle who were running the race. Since I was racing in my own triathlon I didn't exactly get to catch any photos of the race. But I was caught at the end of the race finishing. Just after 11am and it's hot!

And this is what I looked like at the end of my triathlon race.

Here are a few photos that I liked from the past week and a bit. Today I biked a new route out to the airport and back to the lake. I forgot to buy a few quick energy bars so I was quite tired!

Wow that's awesome! I don't know if I can last in a triathlon even though if I am quite fit now. But I think I will try if there comes an opportunity.

    Those are lovely photos!
