Happy New Year

I've been neglecting my blog a bit lately and truly enjoying the 10 days off I haven't had since April!  Yes my second vacation all year that was more than 4 days long.  It was much needed time to catch up on so many things.

Hope everyone got to view some of the partial eclipse, or at least today's blue moon.  I know the eclipse wasn't visible at all in North America.  We took a shot of the moon a few days ago while there were still sunny skies.

Yes This is Winter in Victoria.

And a bit closer pic of the moon, with
Mt. Baker in the background.

And lastly, a bit of a laugh.  Here's my year in review.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

  3. Happy New Year!!!
    Great photos.
Even from near Sumac going east up the Fraser Valley, where Mount Baker looms so large in front of you, I don't think I've ever seen it in such clarity. And you were in Victoria! Fabulous. I used to love skiing at Baker. The road would wind first through a thick forest, then climb up to the base station. The last mile or so, you'd usually be driving through a canyon of snow, at least 15 feet piled up on either side. It was always quiet and the people quite friendly. Haven't been there in two decades.

  9. Ahhh, I started my trek in Victoria. I'm from Ottawa. I must say of all of Canada, Victoria is beautiful and arguably the best place to spend the winter, unless you ski every day and that's the rockies.

    All the best in 2010
