Touring Victoria

Without boring you too much, I wanted to post a few of the photos from the past month. I know I've been really bad about posting but I've been accomplishing a lot offline.

Here are a few things I've been working on: Finding a new job, interviewing, taking tests, taking weekend courses, applying for Canadian Citizenship, applying for a new passport, reading a few books, going on photo hunts, and playing way too much farmville.

Here are some of my favorite photos from sights in the spring months here in Victoria.

My favorite shot of the bunch in Beacon Hill Park.

tulips everywhere

A Moss covered Tree.

Fields of Daisies.

Macro of pink.

Lovely colors.

Return of the Anna's hummingbird during the warmer months in BC.

Just so different.

These flowers really caught my eye, how different they were!

  1. But...but...Farmville's ON-line, isn't it? :-)

Beacon Hill Park has a special place in my childhood. My paternal grandmother had an apartment on the ground floor of a building right across from the park. From the time I was 7 or 8 until she left to go into a nursing home we'd take the ferry from the mainland about 3-4 times a year to visit. We loved that park. (There was also a great place to get ice cream just up the road from my gran's heading south on the west side.) As is often the case, when you go back as an adult it seems a lot smaller than the world you'd imagined it to be as a kid.

  2. - Which one is not like the other?
    - Well, that's a tough one - LOL.

    Beautiful series of fantastic flower-shots.
It's still too early here in Oslo to see such a variety and amount of flowers.

You might like to see photos I took in Buenos Aires in December 2007 (Norwegian text, but lots of photos)

  5. I hope to be able to make a return visit to Vancouver then I would take a peek at Victoria; I missed it the first time.

What else I miss? Your photo hunt posts. Any chance you're going back to playing?

  9. One day I hope you can visit the Keukenhof Gardens in Holland, Jen. These images remind me of our visit there last Sunday. I love how you have captured these different shots. And to think this happens every spring!

A new job at the doorstep or?

Spring is late here this year. But we have had some sunny afternoons at our veranda. Our beloved Stompa is still missed;(
