The Mini Heat Wave

Well we have had another few days of 32C plus temps here in Victoria, which is known as a heat wave for us fair temperature folks. Victoria normally has temps ranging from 15C to 23C, so 32C is quite a difference, especially when we have no air flow in our house, and AC to be found. I'm not complaining at all, but it has been quite hot around!

A view of one of the light houses in Victoria.

I have a tourist in town this week and hope to be out and about taking lots of cool pics of the town. It's been since March of 2008 since we got to spend a lot of time together. That's the plan at least!

  1. That's HOT, Jen, which I don't do very well. Lucky for me, it's been in the 60s most of the time since returning from France over a month ago (I'm wearing a sweatshire as we speak). Astrid says we can still get some more hot weather, so I know we're not out of the woods yet. But she installed a ceiling fan in our living room, so we're prepared. :) Stay cool and enjoy your tourist. That light house would be a favorite spot for me, as you know.

  2. I guess it is hot everywhere. Skyped with my cousin in Germany, and she was complaining about the heat too. I love light house photos, and every time we are around one I take a picture. That water looks such a beautiful blue; it makes me want to jump in to cool off!!

The weather here is either super hot and humid, or rainy with thunderstorm. Not the best time of the year to walk around or have a good night sleep, I feel sweaty all the time!

  6. 32C in Victoria - that's sure unusual. Even for Oslo it's considered hot.
But, as you write in your next post: It does not last for long...
