The Swiss Ski team will get one last chance this weekend to qualify for the Torino Olympics which take place in February. The location is at Lauberhorn in Wengen.
The Lauberhorn race takes place overlooking the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains in the Bernese Oberland and is famous at home and abroad. This will be the 76th annual race which originally was a competition between the English and the Swiss to see who were better skiers. If you are up for it, you can even be a spectator for free with admission into the ski resort Wengen.
It sounds like a great opportunity and something I never got to do. If I were in Interlaken again, I'm sure I'd love to go up that way and check it out.
