In Need of Some Soul Searching

As one door closes, another one opens?

Morro Bay Sunset

I'm in need of some soul searching for sure. Today I was laid off.

I really don't know what path will take myself and P,
but I guess change will be in the works for us.

I have a large list of things to accomplish quickly.
I'm crossing my fingers that many doors will be opening.

  7. When I was laid off a long time ago, I did not realize how much stress I had been under. My handwriting changed, tension gone, and better opportunities came forth. As my hubby will say this turns to a new chapter in our book. Another saying from my nifty rolodex..."We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust our sails."

  10. You are a strong woman, Jen, and you will get through this. We're not given any more than we can bear, as this last year has proven for me. The image is WONDERFUL. Hang in there.

  12. Hello,

Last year bab.la and our blog Lexiophiles launched the Top 100 International Exchange and Experience Blogs 2009. It was rewarding and we really enjoyed bringing the exchange blogger community together, and here we go again:

It’s time for The Top 100 International Exchange and Experience Blogs 2010, also known as IX10.

We are looking for the top 100 blogs about life abroad and your blog has been nominated. The nomination period goes from January 22nd to January 31st. Feel free to spread the word among bloggers writing about life in a foreign country.

The voting starts on February 1st and goes till February 14st 2010. At the end of the two-week voting period, the blogs with the most votes will win.

If you want to read more about IX10 visit Lexiophiles (http://www.lexiophiles.com/featured-article/the-top-100-international-exchange-and-experience-blogs-2010).

Send me an email in case you don’t want to be included in this list or if you have any further questions about the competition.

    Kind regards,

    Priscila

  14. I'm really to hear that, I'm sure it comes as a shock. Don't take it personally, it happened to a lot of people lately.

It's a chance for new opportunities.

  15. hi, i know it is a difficult situation to be laid off. but God has a plan, i believe, for you.

i don't know you personally but to be able to write about this sad reality means you are a strong person. we have to deal with any adversity squarely but have faith and truly, another door will open.

    God bless. :-)
