City Swap Update

As some of you might know, I participated in the International City Swap. I just wanted to report that I got my package notice on Friday and picked up my wonderful little gifts on Saturday. I'm actually assuming, the gifts I sent either would come on Friday or Monday as well.

My City Swapper came from Tennessee while my present swapper came from South Carolina. Both places I really don't know much about. But I must say I was excited to get my gift! Jana did a great job working with what little information I gave her too! So I ended up with gifts of all things SC, including a little onesie for our little one. Here's a peek at what arrived!

No I haven't really said anything on the blog yet but P and I are expecting our first little one at the beginning of March. Because of the new law that went into affect July 1 in BC, we will be finding out the gender of the baby the day it is born. My life revolves around being the most patient and waiting the longest for everything, so I'm not really that phased by this. Just think in neutral colors like white, green, yellow.

Here's a look at our little one too. We know our baby is a mover!

Just click on the pics so see the larger version. So any guesses on the gender? P thinks it's a girl because the coffee lady says so while my brother in law knows it's going to be a boy! I'm neutral in all of it... Laughs.

  1. Congratulations!

If you like, I can forward the link to my sister (The Obstetrician). She might be able to tell you boy or girl. And I have to know -- why is it a law? Do people do selective abortions there? That's the only reason I know of for why it is a law in places like China & India.

First of all, congratulation! I'm very excited for both of you. It's going to be one cool adventure!

What is the law you are talking about? Seriously, you can't know the baby gender? My friend in Ontario had the option, some took it and some didn't. How weird.

I mailed my city swap package to Jana, I hope she will like it! :-)

  3. A little voice from your past! Congratulations and it's so exciting! You know...they told me Tommy was a girl after our ultrasound, and he is ALL boy, so I say pick a name for each and enjoy your pregnancy. :) xoxo Mia (Goddess)

  4. Swap or swipp or whatever.......... the most important here is:

    C o n g r a t u l a t i o n s!

It's hard to tell if it's a girl or a boy, but that's not the deal - as long as it's a baby!!!!
