Still Patiently Waiting

So no baby yet and yes it's driving us a little nuts that baby wants to take it's time.  But we are hanging in there.  Really when you look at it all, there is a month window for the baby to arrive and the baby wants to wait the entire month window before arriving!  Or maybe baby just wants to be born as close to P's birthday as possible or the Super moon coming on that day..

All is well health wise for both baby and I.  I'm working on spicy foods and cooked up some spicy cookies yesterday that the entire family just loved!

Here's the recipe for anyone who wants to try them.  They are amazing tasting and I'm sure will be worth it even if you just take out the cayenne pepper that I couldn't even taste.  I think they are chewy version of molasses or gingerbread cookies.

2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
3/4 t. cinnamon
1 t. ground ginger
1/2 t. ground cloves
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cayenne pepper
8 Tablespoons. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. molasses
1/4 c. egg whites

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda and spices and set aside. Cream the butter and sugars together. Add the molasses to the creamed butter, then add the egg whites until combined. Add the dry ingredients slowly. Once incorporated, roll dough into 1 inch balls and place onto baking tray. Bake 8-10 minutes. Once cool eat as many as you can possibly stomach, lay down for a nap and wait for labor to begin! (Well only if that is what your plan is - laughs...)
