Lazy In Montreux

This weeks Theme is Lazy

I wanted to put a bit of a twist on the theme for lazy. For me being lazy means, escaping from work indoors and taking a walk, reading or just relaxing & watching the beautiful world change before your eyes. That's a lazy day and exactly what I was doing in Montreux while enjoying the views on a park bench.

Escaping work, relaxing on a bench and being lazy,

The band Deep Purple who appear regularly at the Montreux Jazz Festival also recorded the song Lazy in Montreux, Switzerland. A bit ironic to coin the term lazy, but to me the history behind the band is so interesting to me.

The festival was originally held at the old Montreux Casino, which burned down in December 1971 during Frank Zappa's performance. ("Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple tells that story.) They even recorded the album in Montreux.

And this is a lazy day in Victoria, enjoying the beach, laying around soaking up the sun. What do you like to do on a lazy day?

    I like your new template a lot. The background color is nice and easy to read and a great header. Thanks for the song, I just listened to "Lazy" and enjoyed it.

    Good shots for the theme and an interesting take on it. I would definitely consider having the time to lie on the beach as a lazy day. I also see what you mean about being able to escape work and relax on a bench being a lazy moment. Since my employer lets me work from my home computer, I'll admit that I tend to spread out my hours into the evening, and I take many breaks on my deck swing. I used to even work outside with my laptop some so I don't associate it with lazy but it can be.

    Fan·tas·tic take on the theme, ET!! simply love that song and what a treat to see the live version.
    Thought of you while driving through Switzerland, although due to lack of time we mostly saw the highway... and the magnificent scenery with those gorgeous lakes!! here is our map.

    Me again. I can't figure out how to sign in here as Snap2Days but we appreciated your comment. I'm doing the visiting this weekend for Snap2 thus the "we", ha. I just noticed the bird in flight in your last photo. Can't believe I missed it the first go round. That's great. I guess the bird is the one that's working in the shot.

    i can be lazy there. i can spend the whole day sitting on one of the benches with a book in hand and every now and then looking up from the pages to enjoy the view.

    Oh yes, I love spending lazy days in the mountains too. There's something about Switzerland that draws you to it...I just recently (4 months ago) moved to Switzerland from Sri Lanka and already feel at home
