Ruined Mushroom? Far from perfect, at least.
Can you spot the one with the bite in it?

Last weekend I found these elegant mushrooms outside next to a tree. I've wanted to see these mushrooms for years and finally, they appear in front of my eyes. I guess I might add that I ruined my chance to take great photos because I didn't have my camera with me!
This weekend I am at a swim competition and will be very busy traveling. I won't have computer access so I will do my best to do what I can to visit blogs.

Good luck at the competition!
ReplyDeleteAre those edible? I agree with your description of elegant. Nice take on the theme.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the mushrooms and I did spot the one with a bite out of it. I hope you have fun at the competition. Thanks for your visit to Snap2Days and also to my blog. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteNo not edible - poisonous but not dangerous...
ReplyDeleteVery cool post! I love photographing mushrooms. I've never seen this one in person - it's very beautiful. Hope you have a nice weekend!

ReplyDeleteLove those mushrooms... I used to see them often in Switzerland.. not here though... just way too dry! (as it is 88 degrees, windy ,and probably 0 humidity outside)

Those are colorful mushrooms, maybe these are poisonous because of the color.
ReplyDeleteMy children did something like that using play dough :)

Great shots. I wonder who/what was chomping on them! lol Have a great weekend. :D
ReplyDeletethey are beautiful and the bad part is we can't eat them
ReplyDeleteI did not know about that thing but looks interesting...happy hunting...
ReplyDeleteMine is here
I think the nicer looking they are, the more poisonous they are. That's what I learned in school anyway!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what little creature took a bite and then decided he only wanted one. Great take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteI hope the bite did not knock off the poor critter. What lovely mushrooms. Have a great weekend Expat
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like to seem them up close too! Nice shots!:)
ReplyDeleteYen's PH. Happy Weekend!!
Good luck at the competition. :)
ReplyDeleteawww, those are beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I know I know, I have so many of those moments when I want to snap a photo and there's no camera handy :( And I never seem to learn to keep it with me like the keys, always and forever there :)
Those are beautiful. I've never seen mushrooms like those before.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the competition. Have a safe trip.
I love your photographs! I know practically nothing about mushrooms, but in my book, anything spotted is synonymous with poisonous. Beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteLove your count on days away from Switzerland. Seems to me that you will end up there again. Your heart is there.
Fabulous photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy you went swimming instead of having a bite from that Mushroom.
The mushrooms are really beautiful...great shots!
ReplyDeleteAmazing mushrooms!!! I just posted a few mushroom shots from a hike this past summer, if you'd like to see them. I am going to enjoy your blog because Switzerland is one of my favorite places on the planet. I found our blog via Tim Rice's "Ramblings".
