May Long Weekend

Time is just flying by as it's nearly the end of May and time for Canadian's to celebrate the May Long weekend and Victoria Day.  Some people like to discuss changing the name of the holiday.  Why not just confuse everyone more!

I was up for some crepe making since I had the time to do it.  Boy was it good.  Here are the results as I actually photographed before I ate the evidence.  ;-)

I replaced the normal flour with rice flour which to me has an even better taste!

Anyone have plans for their long weekend?  Happy Whit Monday to those in Europe!

  1. Hi! Wow, those look yummmyyyy! (thanks for an idea ;) ) No big plans here for the long weekend, as long as the sun holds up, we'll be out enjoying, maybe see a local parade, maybe have a picnic, etc.

  5. I have never made crepes before and hats off to anyone who can!! Those look yummy! Never tried rice flour before either so that is something different. I'd love to go to the beach for Memorial Day weekend, me and a gizillon others!! However, I guess we will hang out with friends, and have a BBQ.

What a gorgeous weekend here in Ottawa! On Saturday, I went to see the end of the Tulips Festival, and yesterday we took a day trip to the US. Today, I'll just relax...

    I love these long WE!

  9. And she cooks too. :D We took Towanda on another car trip this past Saturday, 320 km total, to Enkhuizen and Hoorn, north of Amsterdam. Both are harbor cities, so we saw lots of boats and tall ships, with sails. I love these times out-n-about! I love this new country I call my own. :)

  11. Hi Jen,
time is just flying over here. After one week in the summerhouse and long days (up before 6 am and back here around 6 pm), well we are of course a bit tired - maybe age or?

We also like cakes/tartes with fruits.

Hope you will have a great week.

  12. They look soooooo scrumptious!!!! I like mine just with a squeeze of lemon juice over the top and a dusting of sugar. Mmmmmm, my mouth is watering just at the thought of it! Thank you for sharing your delights with your admiring followers :)

Hope you have had a great holiday weekend. Tomorrow I am off to the wonderful location of Blenheim Palace (in Oxfordshire, England) which, as well as having the stunning Palace, also has the most amazing gardens and is holding a 'Whitsun weekend' craft fair. I'll be sure to take plenty of photos and will blogpost them soon.
